Sedation dentistry in our office comprises several steps or several different things from as simple as nitrous oxide or laughing gas in the office and the other level of sedation our office provides is partnering with an outside group that comes in and does the IV sedation, and puts the patient to sleep, and monitors them while we are doing the dentistry. The benefits of having sedation available are it allows patients who normally wouldn't have dentistry done, it gives them another way of coping and getting themselves through those appointments that they might be fearful or apprehensive of.
